Guest bigelvis Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 Bought a galaxy yesterday and halfway up road windows were a bit steamed so put heaters on, nothing, no blower going or anything, have had a quick look today and a big fuse has blown (maxi-blade i think) its green and thats as much as i know, havent got a haynes manual yet, (and on that subject do i but haynes or a tis thingy of ebay?)Window wipers have one speed which is bloody fast when you put on speed 2 they stop where they are and intermittent only goes if you push the control down and hold there. Is this a fuse (poss with the green one?)Few other faults but as i get to them il list them lol, and finally its a 96 p reg 1.9tdi aspen so is it worthwhile getting a cable etc like so many others on here.Oh and finally can anyone tell me what the relay marked 103 is for in the fuse box? Thanks guys its sites like this that really help the home mechanic. AndeeeH Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 The fuse for the blowers is F6 rated at 25A. Its the 6th from the left in the bottom row of fuses. The fuse for the wipers is F5 rated at 10A. The relay for the wipers is K11 which is just above fuses 5,6&7. As some of the functions work it could be a faulty multifunction switch/stalk. Which position is relay 103 in your fuse box? That no. is not shown on TIS so tell me where it is and I'll see what it is listed as. :o Andy. Quote
Guest bigelvis Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 Il take a photo and post it of my fuse box as when i opened cover the fuses face down the way instead of out, obviously someone been at the electrics and unscrewed the box, so once the prob solved il need to look at how it goes back together.Off out this morning so il do it this afternoon. Was reading through forums last night and i think 103 is the glow plug fuse, after pulling it out and putting it back in the heater light on dash has now stopped flashing when the engines running. Guest bigelvis Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 Checked the fuses and sure enough the fuse was gone have replaced and heaters working fine now, replaced the big green maxi blade fuse, not sure what its for but have done it anyway, that relay 103 after further investigation have found its the glow plug relay. Thanks for the help again.
